Sumandip Kaur

My name is Sumandip and I am from Italy but my roots are Indian. Personally, I feel really lucky as I had the opportunity to grow up in two completely different cultures and gain the best from each one of them.

Since I was a child, I have been trying my best to keep a perfect balance between both societies and this is why I love to meet people from all around the world. One thing which I can’t stand at all is discrimination, which is why many of my writings are related to Women Empowerment and the concept of Freedom.

Meet sumandip

• What would you be if you were an animal?
I would be a butterfly because it is unpredictable, and even though it needs some time and has to go through many changes in the end it achieves its own beauty.

• Can you describe in a few words your creative process?
I love to travel with my mind and when something really inspires me, I just take pen and paper and write everything down.
• What is your favourite subject matter to illustrate/ write about?
I usually write about topics related to Women Empowerment as I strongly believe that everyone has full right to take decisions on their own and be independent.

• What keeps you inspired and motivated?
I can’t stand any sort of discrimination at all and this is what actually keeps me motivated in giving my best in each and every thing I do.

• How do you think projects like Coffee Grounds can make a difference?
Spreading awareness and letting people express themselves at the same time is really important in today’s society, this is why I really like the Coffee Grounds initiative.
